Greetings! Can it already be May? That means it is a year ago this month that Dave (my sweet, supportive and talented bass player) and I took the 'ol plunge and got married! What a wild ride it has been...seems to go by so fast though-is that the case for you too? April brought interesting events-we went to Nashville where we got to play a showcase and get feedback (oh boy!) as well as check out the music scene in general and play open mic. Very supportive musical crowd there-very different culture than our San Francisco-esp. b/c we were there over Easter weekend on music row wondering where everyone was! The rows of beautiful, ornate churches lining the streets should have tipped me off... We got a bite from our showcase-more recording could soon be in our future! Also had a great time playing with D'Tension at our Singles Event at Caffe Trieste-thanks Thijs for sitting in on sax and Chris for having a b-day and giving us another reason to celebrate!   SHOWS This month, Friday May 15 we will play a special show with fell(ette?) WomenROCKers Pamela Parker and Bernadette at the Retox Lounge-put on your dancing shoes and make an evening of it with us while San Francisco WomenROCK the Retox! Stories Behind Push and Pull: the seeds for I'm Done Waiting...as usual, these stories are just for you-thank you for being a loyal fan! Have you ever been in and stayed in "that" relationship for too long? You know which one I mean..the one that you know that you should get out because he'll never change no matter what words he tells you that you want to hear? That was the basis for I'm Done Waiting-sort of an anthem for both telling him off and for getting closure (and empowerment)... you can hear it on the album, last track (Track #11).
