2009

".....as
I find myself being whisked away by the sounds of Aoede I need a
copy of Push and Pull in the house, in the vehicle, in the studio
and in my head all the time. I've added this gem to my own
personal favorite collection, but then you will too once you've
treated your ears to this masterpiece! Just remember....A-E-D!"

Greetings:
HAPPY JULY to
you! In San Francisco, outside you would hardly know it is
summer-and yes, I LIKE it this way...Yes, I got yet another
furlough day at the office thanks to the "Governator" but at
least it means another day of rest and still not a layoff.
My heart goes out to those of you who have not been so
lucky, and I'm wishing you back on your feet and into some
new shoes soon-as I've been told and am starting to
believe-embrace all that comes to you-there's got to be good
stuff that comes out of the seemingly bad...even if we can't
always see it now. Take it all cuz it's all
we've got-That was my fuel for writing a song entitled "High
and Low." Thanks to the Stray Bar (and Bazaar) for having us
last month-it was a hoot and good audience participation
(see pics above and below).
We'd LikeTo Get to know you better brunch...or
get re-acquainted! Last month, I expressed interest
in having an "I'm Glad I Got-to-Know-You!" Saturday brunch
in San Francisco for our San Francisco Bay Area friends and
fans during July and September- save the dates: July 25 and Sep
19th! Please email me if you are
interested in attending and I will give you more details!
For the July brunch, we will be performing at the Cannery in
SF at noon so we will be brunching in the area before it. As
always, I welcome email telling me more
about you and what drew you to us.
Cool
Stuff-check it out (sidebar)
and let me know if you have stuff to include next time! and

what?
CALL to Bay Area Multi-Media
Artists, Other Musicians, and Film-Makers-lets make a
community!
Another call to all you Bay Area artists who want to
collaborate with us-send me email if you
want to collaborate on shows of all types-it could be a
gallery showing your art and music in the background-it
could be a live works to music-lets get creative and try
stuff that others haven't done yet! We're also seeking
a multi-instrumentalist for out there gigs-let me know if
this is you or someone you know...
AND after a long hiatus, we're finally getting back to
the video for I Lost, You Win-excited to shoot some
more footage and I'll keep updating you as we have more to
say.
SHOWS
This month, we will be playing
some great shows-acoustic and "with batteries" as I like to
call it (thanks John!) If you are in the North Bay, please

Stories Behind Push
and Pull: the seeds for Don't Leave Me
Here...as usual, these stories are just for
you-thank you for making a connection! This may be one of
the first songs I finished-originally written in 2005, the
inspiration for the lyric came to me while journaling, while
the melody came shortly after in-of all places-the
shower! The melody and lyric evolved over a few years
but the theme remained-it's mainly about the girl who is
desparate to show her guy all there is in the world to live
for...especially her. It takes place at the water's
edge. You can hear it on the
album- Track 8.
Huge
thanks as always to YOU for reading and supporting and
please write and update me! We couldn't do this without you!
