Greetings:
up close and personal...celebrate
the small stuff too!
When you are working on something big and
important, does the perfectionist in you ever dwell on what you
wanted to but didn't get done, instead of focusing on all you may
have accomplished? I find it is so easy for me to go to that place,
as I often bite off way more than I can chew leaving plenty undone.
I think we should start celebrating each small step along the way;
reward ourselves for victories along the way instead of just when we
hit the milestone; focus on what we could do rather than get down on
ourselves about what we couldn't. For myself, I am hoping a little
attitude shift will go a long way towards keeping my confidence,
motivation and drive high. Plus, doesn't each experience, positive
and negative, teach us something about ourselves? I am eager to keep
learning the lessons... memorable
musical moments.. the muse is working hard; will the universe
acknowledge it ? Speaking of celebrating...Just recorded
three more new singles! I had the opportunity to record once more in
LA with a great producer, some stellar musicians, and this time we
were priviledged to work with an amazing arranger and a crazy
talented string quartet on 2 songs! We accomplished a lot in 2 days.
Highlight for me was having the all star cast all in the control
room taking ownership of the song, listening to the take they just
recorded and me thinking, "I made that!" All you who have ever built
anything from scratch, isn't it fantastic seeing it evolve from
nothing but a structure into something beautiful? Talk about living
a dream! I look forward to sharing the results of all our work and
passion! Also, HUGE shout out to Dave for encouraging me to take
advantage of this opportunity, his constant support, cheerleading
from the sidelines while someone else played bass, and all the
driving along the way. You are my rock and you rock,
Dave.

sodas has nothing to do with the bubbles breaking on the tongue. What
happens is that carbonic dioxide in the soda reacts with carbonic
anhydrase in saliva to produce carbonic acid, and a low intensity pain
stimulus in the tongue's branch of the trigeminal nerve. This is the same
nerve responsible for toothaches, sinus pain, and some types of headaches.
