Greetings:
up close and personal...we all
forget sometimes that we do make a difference.
How many times have you received that
chain e-mail that reminds you that someone in the world is thinking
of you before they go to sleep each night? Usually I smile when I
get it, sigh as I read the little quotes and quips about life and
love, and then forward it to a few girlfriends just to let them know
reading this makes me think of you. Sometimes I just delete it not
wanting to crowd their inboxes. Yet how often we forget the true
roles we play in each others lives. Especially when we lose touch
with some of our friends or family for a time because of the other
cool stuff life has to offer. The new baby, the 30-day safari
through Africa, the scuba lessons...
Sometimes we forget
because of the "must dos" that we tell ourselves are our priorities
if we want to live the way we do, or the trials and tribulations
that creep up on us unexpectedly. All I know is that weeks or months
now whoosh by like days as we each live our lives. Thanks to
facebook updates or video chats, we get to see pics of the new baby
or cat or baby chicks, or trip, but largely we relate from afar...no
wonder we tend to forget how we affect one another. I've received
multiple reminders from you over the month that just doing what I
do-be it sending this newsletter to connect each month, writing
music or my children's story or just taking time to respond to you,
affects you. Thank you for reminding me and please remember-that
goes both ways. I am thinking of you today and thinking how
different my life would be without so many of you in it.
memorable
musical moments.. the muse is learning; is the universe
responding? Four chapters into the
teen-water-fantasy story. This is hard! This is fun! Have you just
gone and done something new that you've never tried before? Tell me
about it! It is unfamiliar territory. For me, there will be lots of
reading about the craft of writing and writing for young adults (who
apparently are now called teens), and then there's reading books
about teens, and of course there's writing an actual book. All this
while setting things in motion to craft and record a new
album/singles, and to record the songs accompanying the book. Yes,
well, at least slow and steady is still progress. I can't think of
anything more perfect than realizing dreams either. Are you
realizing yours? Life goes by either way I am grasping...
I
sent my March newsletter to a new friend who asked to connect with
me after listening to I Lost, You Win. He responded that I inspired
him to pick up his guitar and play an old Alanis tune where his
"hands and heart still flowed smoothly" after many years of not
playing. That was another reminder to me about how we all affect
each other. Lucky for me, he told me!
Would love your help!
I just learned that Push and Pull is now available at Barnes and Noble and Best Buy online. It would be so
great if any of you who have and love the CD or have been moved by
the songs could just click the links and leave a few words about how
the CD makes you feel in the reviews so they don't look so
naked! many heartfelt thanks! :)
Cool
Stuff-check it out (sidebar) and let me know if
you have stuff to include next time!

Stories Behind The Muse-ic will be
back when the album is complete-it will be much more fun to tell you
these musical stories when you can hear the songs that they speak
to!
